Aber zu Deinem "Problem": Du hast die (optionale) Apple Softwareaktualisierung unter Windows installiert, und diese – Das wird einem bei der Installation mitgeteilt. – dient auch dazu neuverfügbare Programme von Apple zum Download anzubieten. Ergo, selbst schuld. Die Apple Softwareaktualisierung ist übrigens nicht nötig um z.B. iTunes auf dem aktuellsten Stand zu halten, das können all diese Programme schon von ganz alleine. Ich würde ja auch sagen Safari ist aktuell der modernste und beste Browser, natürlich auch unter Windows!
